Artist's Description

A Memorial Painting -the death of her son, her first born, changed her life forever but the connection remains - from South Central Los Angeles. Killed by bullets meant for his passenger after dropping off a friend returning from a funeral close enough that this Mother heard the shots. Lori and Bell (Davelle) Gardner. Commissioned by Bell's sister Keena as a gift to their Dear Mama.

My body of work includes painting with both watercolours and acrylics. I am also a writer. Poetry was my first love creatively, which lead to writing fiction and non-fiction but something magical happened when I picked up a paintbrush.
